Field trips are a wonderful extension of what students are learning and experiencing both here and at school. This is why we enjoy scheduling these for our OOTB families.

We are blessed in this area to have so many opportunities to be able to attend these "hands -on" trips. Please call studio before sending in registrations for these. If you have any questions most of the venues do have websites. We will be glad to help with any questions you might have about these. 678-867-7713.

Most ALL of the field trips will have a studio hands on studio experience either at OOTB to go along with the field trip OR in some cases the hands on activity is AT the field trip!!! It is our pleasure to add these wonderful opportunities for your family to enjoy!

Sept: 29th : 10:00-12:00 or 11:30-1:30" Mummy Mobile "from Michael C. Carlos Museum coming to OOTB followed by Egyptian art project. ( Ancients/Egyptian history) Price for Mummy " experience" and art project $22.00

Oct: 17th " Louvre and Medieval Exhibit" at High Museum of art 10:00 -1:00Project at OOTB after (medieval art history) Project begins at 2:00-4:00 Price for both: Students: $22.00(HMA IS $10.00 and art project is $12.00/ adults HMA only is $15.00

Oct: 13th Micheal c Carlos Museum "Voyage of Odysseus" comes to OOTB followed by art project from Greek art( Greek art)View Michael C. Carlos website at www.carlos.emory.edu Our project will be hands on clay project. Total price is: $22.00 this includes Program and art piece. LIMIT 28 students.

Oct: 27th: North Georgia pottery field trips hands on experiences THERE, pottery will be brought back to OOTB and fired here!( Native American, Folk art history!!!) This will be a wonderful way to learn more about pottery both hand built and on the wheel. Adults$4.00/ Students$6.00 which includes the clay experience and firing at OOTB. (If you decide to glaze your piece at OOTB there will be just a glazing charge of 3.00 more-total would then be $9.00 for student)

NO STUDIO EXPERIENCE AT THE HMA the studio experience is at OOTB with Chinese brush stroke painting workshop / or Chinese art experience !!!!

Feb: Matilda's Folk art in Alpharetta/ Folk art project at OOTB (folk art) $35.00 for Folk art workshop and tour at OOTB Times TBA

Feb: African Art High Museum of art Studio experience at HMA (African art) Students$8.00/ Adults$15.00

Feb: KING TUT EXHIBIT (Egyptian) Feb.17th( Tuesday) 1:00 PM Price : 11.25 for students/24.00 for adults. WE ONLY HAVE 40 students and 20 adult SPOTS.Atlanta Civic Center event.

March: Howard Finster "Paradise garden" (folk art) 11:00 Donation (Project day is March 20th at OOTB $20.00 Folk art Finster inspired piece.

March: St. Philips cathedral Atlanta (to explore stain glass windows, elements of art and how cathedrals are made) excellent for those in "art through the ages" classes! Studio workshop will be making a" stain glass" replica from a famous "window". Price TBA and date.
